Join Ruth McDougall, Curator of Pacific Art at the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art for a tour of our current exhibition Nicholas Mangan: Limits to Growth.  This survey show consists of five major projects made between 2009 and 2016. Melbourne-based artist Nicholas Mangan’s installations combine video, photography, and sculpture to intersect stories from the Asia-Pacific region concerning ecology, economics, and sustainability. Limits to Growth addresses contemporary capitalism’s relationship between resources and the environment; the physical and political; and cultural and economic values.

With her extensive knowledge of art in the Pacific region, McDougall will offer unique insights into  Mangan’s exhibition, while also unpacking the works’  broader connections to regional art practices and concepts.
