The Hon. Teresa Gambaro MP and Institute of Modern Art President Marie-Louise Theile are delighted to invite you to the second edition of Officework in Canberra entitled Four days in the Valley, to be opened by Minister for the Arts, Senator the Hon George Brandis QC on Wednesday, 1 October, from 7.30pm to 9.00pm. This initiative will present the work of established and emerging Queensland artists in a series of exhibitions in partnership with their galleries.

I am very excited by the forthcoming second edition of the Officework in Canberra exhibition series – Four days in the Valley. Many on these works focus on the particular character of iconic areas in my own electorate of Brisbane such as New Farm and Fortitude Valley. I am astounded by the talent of the artists in producing these works and how they have captured the essence of these iconic areas in new and insightful ways. As always, it will be my great pleasure, in conjunction with the IMA, to showcase these works to the world.
Hon. Teresa Gambaro MP

This second selection of artworks is presented in partnership with Heiser Gallery, Brisbane, and features artworks by Julie Fragar, Noel McKenna, Robert Moore, Ian Smith, and Bill Yaxley. The exhibition will be on display until 4 March 2015.

The event is located in the parliamentary office of the Hon. Teresa Gambaro MP: Suite R1.50. Free parking is available to visitors in the underground public car park. Please check the Parliament House website for further information.
