The Judy
The IMA is located in the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts, which houses theatre spaces, resident companies (including Australian Film Commission, Australian Film Television and Radio School, Circa, Elision, Expressions Dance Company, Kooemba Jdarra Indigenous Performing Arts and Youth Arts Queensland) and Glass Bar.
Public Transport
190, 191, 193, 194 and 195 buses stop nearby, and we are a 5 minute walk from Brunswick Street train station.
Parking
Dooley's Car Park, Berwick Street (opposite the IMA); King's Parking, Warner Street; Chinatown Car Park, Ann and Wickham Streets; and Chinatown Mall, Alfred and Alden Streets.
Neighbours
The building diagonally opposite us across the Brunswick / Berwick intersection houses Artisan and Artworkers. There are numerous galleries in the neighbourhood: Heiser Gallery, Jan Murphy Gallery, Philip Bacon Galleries and Ryan Renshaw Gallery. The area — Fortitude Valley and James Street — is famed for its boutique shopping and nightclubs; its entertainments, eateries and bars. Andrew Baker Gallery and Fireworks are a short cab ride.
