IMA Belltower at Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts
#IMABelltowerFaçadeProjection
After an open call for applications across Queensland, Daniel McKewen has been selected to exhibit as part of the IMA Belltower program. He will present a temporary public artwork, to be projected on the façade of the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts.
Daniel McKewen’s practice investigates the intersections of contemporary art, popular culture, economics, politics, and screen-based mass media. Working across a range of media including video installation, McKewen examines the formal and symbolic conventions of these institutionalised structures, exploring our individual and shared interactions with them.
IMA Belltower at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and this exhibition and artwork projection opportunity is generously supported by The Cove, Newstead.
