Wanderer Magazine
Perspective Issue #8
2025
Issue eight as I’m sure you’ve already gathered by now has less of that Australiana type feel throughout the pages as it usually would. This issue carries a weight of louder traffic, busier streets and taller buildings. Perspective, came to me as I was walking through the streets of New York just so intrigued by the people who inhabited it. It has this strange sense of familiarity that’s been ingrained into you without your awareness. I would have this constant inner dialogue with myself based on “If I grew up here, would I still be me, or has living and growing up in Australia moulded me into who I am… Like what if I grew up somewhere completely different…”. So this issue came to fruition because of my own curiosity, where we got to chat with people (who all live in America) about how their environments may affect how they perceive things and how it affects their creative processes and practices.
In a world of high screen time and low attention spans, Wanderer Magazine is here— a tangible, independent print magazine and online media platform sharing real stories on real paper with real people.
Wanderer Magazine, in short, is a celebration of creative youth, manifested in a print magazine—although we see youth more as a state of being than a time frame. We love to capture & share the authentic processes put into place to turn an idea into reality. In talking to the people carving their paths through their industry, we find out what pushes them to do so, and aim to encourage people to do the same. It is a platform for emerging and established creatives to share the real-life moments of what it means to lead a life dedicated to doing what they love. As well as print, we keep up to date with current events on our digital blog and newsletter.
We are independently run and operate out of Bellambi, NSW on Dharawal Country.
