See your work at the new IMA Belltower

4 July 2019

Early-career Queensland artists are invited to submit proposals for IMA Belltower at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts. There are two opportunities:

  1. Exhibition as part of IMA Belltower
  2. Artwork projection on the façade of the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts

Applicants are invited to apply for either one or both of these opportunities. IMA Belltower at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts is dedicated to Queensland contemporary art, exploring place and belonging. Artists who currently reside in Queensland are able to apply. Find out more.

Applications open: 9 July 2019.
Applications close: 31 July 2019.
Exhibition/artwork projection period: November 2019–Jan 2020.

IMA Belltower at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland. The exhibition and artwork projection opportunities are generously supported by The Cove, a premium coworking space in Newstead.

The Institute of Modern Art acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land upon which the IMA now stands, the Jagera, Yuggera, Yugarapul, and Turrbal people. We offer our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first artists of this country. In the spirit of allyship, the IMA will continue to work with First Nations people to celebrate, support, and present their immense past, present, and future contribution to artistic practice and cultural expression.
