While fires have already begun this summer and as we debate possible vaccines for this pandemic, there is no fix for toxic water in the driest continent on earth. How do current land and water grabs challenge the ideals of the contemporary cultural industry and community, and what can people do to support frontline artists and cultural agents protecting Country in 2021? Join settler artist, curator, and researcher Rachel O’Reilly for a tour of her feature documentary Infractions, the latest work from the unconventional gas research she began in 2013, in dialogue with Gooreng Gooreng elders from Yallarm.

Professional Development for Educators

The Institute of Modern Art acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land upon which the IMA now stands, the Jagera, Yuggera, Yugarapul, and Turrbal people. We offer our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first artists of this country. In the spirit of allyship, the IMA will continue to work with First Nations people to celebrate, support, and present their immense past, present, and future contribution to artistic practice and cultural expression.
