Event Blak Social: Songs of the Queencitiverse

Blak Social: Songs of the Queencitiverse

Performance

09 December 2023
12.00PM–12.30PM

Hear Blak Social perform songs from their fictional Indigenous-futurist universe, the ‘Queencitiverse’.

Led by Alethea Beetson (Kabi Kabi, Wiradjuri), Blak Social is a First Nations collective that works across theatre, music, and film. Their debut theatre work, Queen’s City, flips the 1980s science fiction comedy genre to tell a story with Blak history at the fore.
