IMA’s Third Annual Gala News

IMA’s Third Annual Gala

27 July 2017

To all our wonderful sponsors and guests, thank you for making the IMA’s Third Annual Gala and Benefit Auction a great success!

We are thrilled to announce that the Gala and Benefit Auction, featuring artworks by leading Australian and international artists and makers, raised nearly $50,000. These vital funds directly support the IMA’s programs, commissioning new artworks and giving artists transformative opportunities.

If you missed this sold-out gala, you can visit our Facebook page for photos of the event.

Keep your eyes out on the IMA website for details about our IMA Annual Party which will be held on Saturday 28 October. This year our annual party is a little different—it’s themed. Dress up as an artist, artwork, or come as yourself! It’s free and open to everyone, so bring your friends, and get your costume ready for the IMA Disco!

The Institute of Modern Art acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land upon which the IMA now stands, the Jagera, Yuggera, Yugarapul, and Turrbal people. We offer our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first artists of this country. In the spirit of allyship, the IMA will continue to work with First Nations people to celebrate, support, and present their immense past, present, and future contribution to artistic practice and cultural expression.
