The Visual Field: Art Industry Insights for Teens

New education program

28 March 2022

The Visual Field is our professional development program for teens curious about a career in the arts after school. Participants will meet artists, curators, content creators, and industry professionals to explore different career pathways during a weekend intensive at the IMA.

Grade 11 and 12 students are invited to learn about the industry, connect with likeminded peers, gain valuable art writing skills, and be immersed in the exciting world of contemporary art.

This two-day face to face experience is delivered in partnership with Flying Arts Alliance.

Art Industry Insights for Teens

The Institute of Modern Art acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land upon which the IMA now stands, the Jagera, Yuggera, Yugarapul, and Turrbal people. We offer our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first artists of this country. In the spirit of allyship, the IMA will continue to work with First Nations people to celebrate, support, and present their immense past, present, and future contribution to artistic practice and cultural expression.
