Forge Forward began in February 2020… and then immediately shut down in March 2020 (cheers, pandemic). A few months later, we came back with fresh paint, fresh ideas, and a big vision: to create a space that showcased the best of underground art, design, and local creativity.

Since then, we’ve collaborated with dozens of artists and small businesses from all over Southeast Queensland (and beyond), wholesaled global indie brands, launched our own newspaper (Forge World), and threw chaotic, joyful night markets called Mini Mall.

Behind it all is Amy Crow — artist, designer, hairdresser, and founder of Forge. Everything on the website is designed by her, and the brand is an extension of her multidisciplinary practice.

Over the past five years, Forge Forward has become a home base for a growing creative community in Brisbane and beyond. From in-store DJ sets and a risograph studio to a literal ball pit, we’ve never been afraid to get weird in the name of creativity.
