The Other Gods is a limited edition digital print with gold leafing detail by globally renowned artist, Khadim Ali.

Ali’s practice explores the impact of war, trauma and displacement through Persian literature, religion and geo-politics more broadly.

The title of the work refers to the ways in which political and moral systems impact collective understandings of ‘God’. Rather than unifying us, Ali’s imagined God conveys the reality of religion in contemporary life: a set of beliefs, both imposed and divine, that seek to connect us to one another, but ultimately cause division and conflict.
