Sensory Waste

A Speculative Writing Workshop

14 May 2022
10am–12pm

Join artist collective Make or Break for an experimental storytelling workshop, where you will write, think, and share ideas from non-human perspectives. Their participatory installation Institutional Waste 2, in An Alternative Economics, invites speculation, thinking together, research, conversation, and hands-on making to dig into questions of sustainability as we face an uncertain future. The workshop will take this work as a point of departure to explore experimental storytelling.

An Alternative Economics features Australian and international artists who explore the creation of value. Guided by the idea of the circular economy—a compelling counternarrative to the untenable model of eternal growth—the show provokes us to reconsider what ‘counts’ in our society and why.
