Join artist Pat Hoffie for a tour of the current IMA exhibitions, Sarah Browne, Hand to Mouth, and Mierle Laderman Ukeles, Maintenance Art Works 1969–1980.

Born in Scotland in 1953, Patricia Hoffie arrived in Australia at the age of four. She studied extensively in Queensland and New South Wales and has been on several study trips to the Middle East and Asia. A painter and installation artist, she held her first solo exhibition in Brisbane in 1974.

Pat Hoffie exhibits nationally and internationally. Her work is represented in leading public and private collections. She has received numerous national awards. Pat is a regular contributor to national arts journals and to contemporary art debate and development. She has delivered keynote speeches at Australia’s leading art forums, such as the Biennale of Sydney, Perspecta and the Asia-Pacific Triennial, for which she has participated as a curator. Pat has adjudicated in a number of important national and international competitions, including the Moet et Chandon Prize for Contemporary Art, and the ASEANArt Awards. Hoffie has also lectured at Queensland tertiary institutions. She is currently a Professor of Fine Art at the College of Art, Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia.
