Between November 2015 and January 2016 Australian and Peruvian artists Kiah Reading and Pamela Arce worked at torna, Istanbul, to develop an online piece In Each Other’s Lectures. The project focussed on a collection of found images documenting the life of a woman living in Turkey in the 1970s. To coincide with the launch of this digital site, three series of forty books have been published by torna under the same name.

Join us for an informal talk and publication launch with Kiah Reading in our bookshop on Saturday 18 June. A limited number of publications will be available for purchase. The IMA is the exclusive stockist of the publication in Australia.

The Institute of Modern Art acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land upon which the IMA now stands, the Jagera, Yuggera, Yugarapul, and Turrbal people. We offer our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first artists of this country. In the spirit of allyship, the IMA will continue to work with First Nations people to celebrate, support, and present their immense past, present, and future contribution to artistic practice and cultural expression.
