Join us to send off the year that was!

Our end-of-year open day is a chance to come together to celebrate our 2020 program with a full day of talks, tours, performance, book launches, workshops, and a pop-up artist market.

—Don’t miss your last and only chance to join a guided tour of our current exhibitions long water: fibre stories, ‘the churchie’, and INFRACTIONS.

—At IMA Belltower explore Making Art Work, the IMA’s response to the pandemic, and join artists and curators in conversation as well as a free artist-led kids workshop.

—Be the first to get your hands on the long water: fibre stories publication. Join curator Freja Carmichael and artist Jenna Lee in conversation as well as a reading from poet Ellen van Neerven.

—Take part in new Making Art Work commissions by writing a protest letter with Richard Bell and see Ethan Enoch-Barlow perform spoken-word poetry as part of Digi Youth Arts’ commission with Dylan Mooney and Joella Warkill

—Join us in celebrating the launch of the fourth edition of Art Enquirer, a collection of writing about art by young people.

—Support local artists and add to your art collection with our pop-up artist market throughout the day. Stallholders include: Bianca Mavrick , Kaomoji Ceramics , Laura Armstrong, Jordan Azcune, Charlie Hillhouse, Anthem Ari, and Orion’s Belt.
