Mook Mook and his little hairy friend, Junjadee. The book tells the story of a young Ghungalu boy and his fathers fishing adventure to the waterhole. On their journey Mook Mook comes across an old black kangaroo, digs for worms, collects witchetty grubs, collects native honey and meets a little hairy and very hungry junjadee.
These books are the work of author Marie Kemp and illustrated by Jack Kemp. Known to her family as Aunty Teen, Marie is a senior Ghungalu woman, a poet, teacher. social worker and author. Her nephew, Jack, is a father and family man with a natural born talent to draw.
