Cyanide

By: Robert O'Connor

Publisher: Stray Pages

During a 3-month residency at the Rosamond McCulloch Studio, Paris, Robert O’Connor spent his time researching the symbolism of French Baroque and Rococo animaliers, particularly the still lifes and hunting scenes of Jean-Baptiste Oudry (1686-1755). The resulting watercolours and journal entries, published in Cyanide, form the fieldwork of this project – “The stuff that happened while I was researching the other stuff. The result is part-daily reportage, part-fever dream, part-touristic flagposting.”

The 26th publication from Stray Pages, Cyanide, is a 64-page booklet, risograph printed in blue ink, perfect-bound with a dust jacket, and available in a limited first edition of 120 copies.
