Join members of Brisbane’s leading Aboriginal art collective, proppaNOW, for an afternoon of artist talks, workshops, and demonstrations at the IMA.

Hear from artists Vernon Ah Kee and Jennifer Herd, as well as Megan Cope, who will discuss her work RE FORMATION (2019), currently on display as part of the group exhibition Haunt. Plus take part in a hands-on banner making workshop with Gordon Hookey in the IMA Courtyard.

All are welcome to this free event.

  • proppaNOW

    proppaNOW was established in Brisbane in 2003 to give urban-based Aboriginal artists a voice. They present a unique and controversial perspective of black Australia which is sometimes confronting and always thought provoking. Current members Vernon Ah Kee, Tony Albert, Richard Bell, Megan Cope, Jennifer Herd, Gordon Hookey, and Laurie Nilsen are all established artists and well respected in their own right. Collectively, they are an Australian success story.
