Grant Writing Masterclass – Part Two

26 April 2016
6pm–7:30pm

  • Event Cost:
Cost for both sessions: $35 for IMA Members, $50 for non-members

This two-part hands-on masterclass is an informative and motivating opportunity to develop your grant-writing skills, aimed at arts professionals, artists, curators, and writers. Attendees will get in-depth consultation and guidance from IMA Executive Directors Aileen Burns and Johan Lundh, and IMA Operations Manager Madeleine King, who collectively bring over two decades’ experience working in the arts and not-for-profit cultural sector, where grant funding is competitive and increasingly crucial.

The masterclass will be delivered across two sessions. In Part one, on Tuesday 19 April, you will hear from Burns, Lundh, and King about how to develop and write successful grant applications, with practical advice based on their professional experiences in the field.

In Part two, on Tuesday 26 April, attendees will work collaboratively to workshop their own grant proposals from start to finish, with expert input and feedback to help get your submission into shape.

This is a ticketed event with limited capacity. Drinks and refreshments will be provided. Please contact Communications Officer Nadia Buick, nadia@ima.org.au, to secure your place.

The Institute of Modern Art acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land upon which the IMA now stands, the Jagera, Yuggera, Yugarapul, and Turrbal people. We offer our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first artists of this country. In the spirit of allyship, the IMA will continue to work with First Nations people to celebrate, support, and present their immense past, present, and future contribution to artistic practice and cultural expression.
