California-based experimental musician, Brian Pyle, uses the name, Ensemble Economique, for his solo ventures which range from dark, Shamanic drone to mystical, echo-heavy psych rock to shadow-dwelling goth/darkwave. In 2013, Shelter Pressed released the eerie and jarring vinyl, The Vastness Is Bearable Only Through Love.

Shelter Press is a record label and publishing platform founded in 2012 by publisher Bartolomé Sanson and artist Félicia Atkinson building up dialogues between contemporary art, poetry, and experimental music through printed publications and records.
